French Country Recipe Box

As soon as I saw this French Country paper I knew I had to do something with it.

I think I may have said that before, but I absolutely love it.  The idea of doing a recipe box had been rolling about in the back of my mind for some time.

As my kitchen is blue, I first looked at the blue papers in the range, and played around with some ideas. My initial vision had been a recipe box covered in sunflowers and chickens! But alas, it was not to be, it would just not come together for me, as I was consistently drawn to the black papers.

Looking into the box. The “index” cards I plan to use inside the box are Donna Salazar, Kiss the Cook, A bit of this… and A dash of that…

I used Donna Salazar Kiss the Cook papers as the recipe cards.

I can see myself spending endless hours filling those recipe cards in!

My concern at the beginning of this project was that it would be living in the kitchen and I wanted something that would be easily wipe-able and with not too many protruding “bits”. I think I achieved this overall.

I had great fun creating this project.
